New President of Radiometer

It’s with warm wishes that we announce that Henrik Schimmell, President of Radiometer, has decided to retire as President after 15 years with Radiometer and Danaher. Upon immersion, Francis Van Parys will succeed Henrik as President of Radiometer.

July 4, 2023

Henrik Schimmell has had an incredible career in Radiometer and Danaher since he joined the organization in 2008 as the VP of Global R&D at Radiometer. During his time with Radiometer, he has held various leadership positions and led Radiometer to continued profitability and innovation. He has evolved the organizational structure to enable collaboration and focus, while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.

Under his leadership, the organization has rallied around a strong and compelling mission of helping caregivers save lives – a purpose that has served as a guiding star to Henrik and the full Radiometer team.

Henrik leaves behind a strong legacy and a mature and capable leadership team ready to drive the next chapter of innovation and growth for Radiometer.

With the retirement of Henrik, we’re excited to announce that Francis Van Parys will succeed Henrik as President of Radiometer. Francis started his immersion with Radiometer on June 19.

Francis joins Radiometer from Cytiva, a global life sciences leader and a sister Operating Company in Danaher. Francis is a seasoned global executive with a track record of revitalizing product portfolio strategies, driving growth across global markets, and building strong teams committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. His last roles include president ad interim for Cytiva’s Biotechnology Integrated Solutions OpCo in the Biotechnology Group, Vice-President Cytiva Asia-Pacific, and President & CEO, GE Healthcare Korea.

While his name would suggest a French connection, Francis is a Belgian citizen whose career has spanned far and wide. Francis graduated from the University of Ghent in Belgium with a Master’s degree in Material Science and Engineering and holds a Master of Science in Polymer Technology from UMIST in Manchester, UK.

We look forward to welcoming Francis into the Radiometer family and send a big congratulations to Henrik on his well-earned retirement from Radiometer and an exceptional career.
